Take a Look at That Baby - John Fahey

For clear solid fingerpicking you can’t beat John Fahey.  Listen to the way he mutes the bass notes while the melody notes shine.  The alternating bass is sometimes enhanced with walking between the chord changes, making it sound like a mini orchestra.  This song is one of the less complicated of Fahey’s but it takes work to get that separation between the parts and to keep a lively feel.
