Mr. Blue Sky by the Electric Light Orchestra
This is a fun song with an easy, vibrant guitar solo. It comes almost entirely from the F Major Pentatonic scale, with the addition of the fourth (the 11th fret, second string).

Here is a transcription of the guitar solo to Mr. Blue Sky. In the third measure, he has a B (second string, twelfth fret). My ears hear a C there (second string, 13th fret). When you see notation like 12/ it means to finger the note at the twelfth fret and bend the string, making the note sound higher (it should end up sounding the same as the note two frets up). The /10 in the last measure means to bend that string up so that it sounds as if it’s at the 11th fret and pluck it at that point, then release it back down. It sounds similar to striking the note at the 11th fret and then pulling off to the 10th. Just a different way to get a smooth sound.
